About China Star

China Star is a family-owned Chinese restaurant located at 6700 Main St in The Colony, TX. The restaurant has been a long-standing part of the community, with some patrons noting its presence for over thirty years. It offers a variety of classic Chinese dishes, with a focus on noodle dishes like lo mein and mei fun, as well as appetizers such as egg rolls and dumplings. The establishment is known for its generous portion sizes, particularly with its lunch specials, which are often cited as providing good value for the price. While some reviews mention issues with food consistency and customer service, many long-term customers return for its familiar flavors and value.

The Vibe

China Star is described as a family-owned establishment that primarily handles takeout and delivery orders, though it does have seating available for dine-in customers. The atmosphere can be mixed, with some finding it cozy and quiet, while others report a less pleasant environment, citing cleanliness concerns and sometimes rude customer service from older staff members. The younger staff are generally described as bored but not rude. The restaurant's small size contributes to a more casual dining experience, and it is often busy with takeout orders.
